About The Author

Professor Antulio J. Echevarria II is the Editor of the US Army War College Quarterly, Parameters. He has over 20 years of experience in the U.S. Army, having served in a number of command and staff assignments, including Director of Research for the US Army War College, and has held a NATO Fulbright. He is the author of After the Revolutions: Rediscovering the American Way of War; Clausewitz and Contemporary War; Imagining Future War; and After Clausewitz: German Military Thinkers Before the Great War; among many other articles, essays, and monographs. Professor Echevarria is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, and the U.S. Army War College. He has been a Visiting Fellow at Oxford University’s Changing Character of War Programme. Professor Echevarria holds a Master’s and Doctorate in history from Princeton University.
