About The Author

Professor Antulio J. Echevarria II is the Editor of the US Army War College Quarterly, Parameters, and has held the Elihu Root Chair of Military Studies at the US Army War College. He holds a doctorate in history from Princeton University, and is the author of: Military Strategy: A Very Short Introduction (Oxford 2017); Reconsidering the American Way of War (Georgetown 2014); Clausewitz and Contemporary War (Oxford 2007); Imagining Future War (Praeger 2007); and After Clausewitz (Kansas 2001). Professor Echevarria is a graduate of the US Military Academy, the US Army Command and General Staff College, and the US Army War College. He has held a NATO Fulbright Fellowship and been a Visiting Research Fellow at Oxford University.
