I am Egyptian, born and raised in the States. I have a BA in French, a BS in Finance, and an MA in Social Anthropology of Development with a concentration in Middle Eastern Society and Culture. I've also lived in Egypt for five years where I workd as an Economics/Maths teacher for a local high school and as an Operations Manager in the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Before that, in the States I had all sorts of jobs that ranged from working at TCBY to a mortgage brokerage. My passion is social development, especially in the Middle East. My research usually revolves around participatory development in Egypt and an analysis of the political economy regarding the specific aspects that serve as road blocks to progression.
